At the heart of KHR Group lies a deep-rooted love for food, nurtured by the Huda family brothers. Their unwavering passion was inspired by the flavors and aromas of their mother’s cooking, igniting a fire that led them to share this culinary love with the world. Recognizing the power of food to unite and delight, they sought to share their enthusiasm and flavors beyond their home kitchen.
Their journey commenced with the inauguration of the first branch of Mumbai Express in Uttara in January 2021. The initial success of this Indian cuisine restaurant fueled their ambition to extend their reach beyond the city’s boundaries. While engaged in a business project in Rooppur, they discerned a dearth of fine dining choices for Russian and Belarusian expatriates residing near the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. Consequently, in March 2021 they launched “Russ Dine,” a pioneering purpose-built Russian cuisine restaurant that also offers fusion continental delights. The overwhelming triumph of this venture galvanized them to broaden the range of their culinary offerings. As a result, in September 2021, ‘Russ Bangla Cafe’ was introduced to serve a broader clientele of the area, providing them with a taste of local Bangladeshi cuisine.
Recognizing the burgeoning demand for authentic Indian cuisine, they responded by unveiling a new outlet in October 2021 in the other corner of Dhaka city, located in Dhanmondi. Propelled by all their previous accomplishments, their culinary business reached a decisive juncture. So, in June 2022, they celebrated the inauguration of the flagship restaurant of Mumbai Express in Dhanmondi. This momentous event signified more than just a physical transformation; it was the culmination of their unwavering dedication, a testament to their remarkable growth, and a promise of even more exceptional gastronomical experiences to
come.
